How It Works

Your Day, Structured

Boot models your day as a finite state machine. Each state has clear entry conditions, allowed actions, and exit transitions — eliminating ambiguity about what you should be doing right now.

S0 — Offline

System is dormant. NSIL may be armed. No execution allowed.

S1 — Activation

Boot your day: set energy level, review the forecast, and select your primary objective.

S2 — Execution

Deep work happens here. Start a 90-minute focus block on a single task. No multitasking.

S3 — Maintenance

Between blocks: check progress, open a Sandboxed Reflection Window, or plan the next block.

S4 — Shutdown

NSIL runs: log what shipped, capture a seed thought, set tomorrow's constraint, and lock input.

Sx — Degraded

Containment state for interruptions. Graceful recovery back to Maintenance or Activation.

Smart Forecast

Tasks Ranked by What Matters

The RAB scoring engine evaluates every actionable task across multiple dimensions, then presents the highest-scoring candidates so you can start a block with confidence.

Priority Weight

P0 critical through P3 low. Each priority tier maps to a base score from 100 down to 25.

Due Date Urgency

Tasks nearer to deadline score higher. Overdue tasks escalate further — up to +50 bonus points.

Energy Match

Tasks matching your current energy level get a +30 bonus. Mismatches are penalised, not hidden.

Mood Bias

Set a mood — focus, creative, analytical, admin, or easy — and matching task types surface higher.

Project Relevance

Projects marked "must do" double their weight. Parked projects are filtered out entirely.

Freshness & Neglect

Recently worked projects get a freshness penalty. Neglected tasks earn bonus points over time.

Switch Urge Tracking

Feel the pull to context-switch? Log a switch urge during a block without breaking flow. Build awareness of distraction patterns over time.

Reroll Candidates

Don't like the forecast? Reroll to shuffle candidates with a daily score bias — no two days feel the same, but scoring stays fair.

Containment, Not Failure

Bad day? The system transitions to Degraded (Sx) — not a punishment, but a containment protocol with recovery back to normal states.

Night Input Lock

NSIL prevents late-night cognitive bleed. Arm the input lock, capture one seed thought, and close the system cleanly.

Calm Visual Design

Teal/cyan palettes, generous spacing, minimal visual noise. Dark mode included. No attention-grabbing animations or alerts.

Sandboxed Reflection

Time-boxed reflection windows (25, 45, or 90 minutes) with mandatory artifact output. Think productively without spiralling.
